I would like to get one of these but am not sure about the romer-g switches. The only ones I have tried were the older blue case switches and not the current black case switches. I was not a fan of the older ones I have tried but supposedly the newer ones are much better.

I run the romer-g on my G810 to keep it professional.

How much? Is it really loud? I’m trying to find a mechanical keyboard for work, but it can’t be a super clacker as I’m already a loud typer

I’ve only used cherry MX blue switches and I find these better.

I’ve been absolutely in love with my unicomp classic since I got it, feels way better to my fingers than cherry keys. Haven’t tried anything with Romers yet

I want to just make the jump but I really like my MAX Browns and I’m not sure if the romers would be an improvement.

They’re short travel keys, which takes some getting used to. I know I’m not used to the shift key not needing much travel, but I’ll get accustomed to it eventually.

Nice keyboard! I just picked this one up the other day:
I forgot how much I missed the feel of the Keytronic keyboards; it’s probably my favorite for everyday use. This one’s an E03601. It’s not quite as good as either of the Keytronic EP3435XTATs that I had/have ( lighter weight, and slightly looser feeling keystrokes ), but it’s still very good. I had one from ‘91 that I used for about a year in 2015, then sold it to a friend and bought an ‘89 EP3435ATXT, which I then ended up not using due to its rarity. Both are Gateway2000 branded.
I already made a bit of a modification, which sort of previews the new “cheap” build I’m working on. I’m still sourcing parts, but It should be really nice when it’s done.
